Construction of a children's puppet theater is underway in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Simferopol, on Gorky Street, the construction of a children’s puppet theater continues. The facility is being implemented within the framework of the state program of the Russian Federation «Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.» This was reported by the First Deputy Minister of Construction and Architecture of the Republic of Crimea, Alexander Reznikov.
The construction of the Crimean State Center for Children’s Theatre Arts is carried out in accordance with the state contract for the completion of construction and installation works dated September 29, 2023 No. 219 / EP-SMR, concluded between the customer — the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Investment and Construction Department of the Republic of Crimea» and the Limited Liability Company «Teplostroyservis». To date, the construction readiness of the facility is 45%. Workers are carrying out general construction work — the installation of metal structures and partitions, installation of heating, water supply, sewerage and heat supply systems, installation of shut-off valves on floors 1-3 and the basement, internal power supply systems, installation of ventilation, air conditioning and smoke ventilation ducts, its thermal insulation, installation of insulation under the floor screed on floors 1 and 2— the press service of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of the Republic of Crimea notes.
928.2 million rubles have been allocated for the construction of the Crimean State Center for Children’s Theatre Arts. The facility is scheduled to be commissioned in December 2026.
Alexander Reznikov noted that this project is very important for the cultural development of Crimea and the creation of new opportunities for children. The center will have two auditoriums — for 100 and 300 seats. This will allow holding various events and theater performances of various scales. There will also be rehearsal rooms and children’s studios where children can develop their talents in art.
The creation of such cultural institutions helps not only theatrical art, but also the formation of a cultural environment where the younger generation can grow and participate in various artistic projects. This creates conditions for the development of creative abilities, the formation of aesthetic taste and social activity.
