The city continues to work on installing street lighting. So, starting in 2014, after Sevastopol became part of Russia, the number of light points increased from 16 to 46 thousand, and the work continues. Employees of the Gorsvet State Budgetary Institution spoke about the arrangement of outdoor lighting in the Nakhimovsky district of the city.
In December 2023, work was completed in this area to install new outdoor lighting facilities on the streets of Kombata Ishchenko, Kombata Gegeshidze, Kombata Krasnikov and General Zhidilov (yards of houses 32-48). During the work, 140 new LED lamps and more than three kilometers of outdoor lighting lines were installed. In February 2024, workers completed commissioning work and the facilities were put into operation.
All lamps are made in Russia and their service life is approximately 30 years, the warranty period is 5 years. These lamps are equipped with equipment that allows the dispatcher to quickly identify faults; they are displayed centrally in the control room, for quick response by employees and targeted troubleshooting.
