Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev and Deputy Head Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov checked the progress of the project for the construction and reconstruction of the historical and archaeological park Tauric Chersonese.
Recall that the cluster is being built on the territory of hectares. In addition to the «Children’s Artistic and Aesthetic Center», the construction of the «Korsun» center (a branch of «Artek») is being completed here, museums of the Crimea, Antiquity and Byzantium, and Christianity will be built. The construction of the historical and archaeological park «Tauric Chersonesos» is carried out on behalf of the President of Russia, with the financial and organizational support of the My History Foundation with the blessing of the Patriarchal Council for Culture of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The total building area of the «Children’s Art and Aesthetic Center» is 2 350 m². This is a single U-shaped three-story building with a basement and an attic, conventionally divided into five blocks. When creating the project, the architects were inspired by the traditions of palace construction: there are enfilades, colonnades, many decorative elements, and a fountain was made on the square in front of the center. The interior was designed by specialists from the Sretensky Workshops.
This is a unique project for Sevastopol and all of Russia. Here in this center we have 41 a classroom, 7 production art and craft workshops, a library and information center with a book depository and a media library, assembly and conference rooms. In the center, 350 children will be able to study at the same time, and its throughput capacity will be 700 students in 2 shifts.
Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev and the Deputy Minister of Defense also checked the progress of work in the Sevastopol Cadet Corps of the RF IC named after V. I. Istomin.
On the territory of the Sevastopol Cadet Corps of the Investigative Committee, work is underway on the second stage. A sports and health building will appear here, which will house a choreography class, an assembly, sports and fitness halls, an electronic shooting range, a library, and offices for additional education teachers. A jogging track and several sites for passing standards will be equipped on the adjacent territory.
This is not the only facility being built in Sevastopol by military builders. A new military hospital is being built in Sevastopol with beds. On an area of 8.5 hectares, a modern medical and diagnostic building, an infectious diseases department, a blood transfusion station and an oxygen station will be built from scratch. Foundation work is being carried out, monolithic structures are being poured under the buildings of the new hospital. The medical complex will be delivered on a turnkey basis and equipped with the most modern equipment and medical equipment.
