Container sites for waste collection at the Kalfa cemetery in Sevastopol will be put in order. The court's decision

The Sevastopol Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office checked the implementation of sanitary and epidemiological legislation and legislation in the field of waste management in the area of the city cemetery «Kalfa» along Monastyrskoye Highway, .
It has been established that the container sites of the cemetery are not equipped in accordance with the established requirements. According to sanitary rules and regulations, the sites must have an access road, a hard asphalt or concrete pavement with a slope to drain melt and rainwater, a fence on three sides with a height of at least 1 meter. Waste accumulation sites available at the cemetery do not provide soil protection and do not meet the requirements of the law , the press service of the Sevastopol Prosecutor’s Office reported.
The environmental prosecutor’s office submitted to the director of the state budgetary institution «Specialized Service for the Funeral Affairs of the City of Sevastopol» a proposal to eliminate the identified violations. Since after that the sites were not brought into proper condition, the prosecutor filed a claim with the court. The prosecutor’s claim was satisfied. According to the decision of the Leninsky District Court, the State Budgetary Institution «SPPD» is obliged to bring the places of accumulation of waste in the cemetery in line with the requirements of the law within a month from the date of its entry into force.
At present, the judgment has not yet entered into force.
