By the end of the week, the installation of containers for separate waste collection will be completed in Sevastopol. How the collection and disposal of waste will be organized, during the operational meeting chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, I reported. O. Deputy Governor Yevgeny Gorlov. According to him, the containers have been installed in the city since February 3, and it is planned to complete this work on 10 February.
Containers will allow residents of our city to immediately sort garbage into four fractions on the spot: plastic, metal, paper and glass. The removal of separately collected waste from the container site will be carried out by special vehicles in accordance with the requirements of SanPiN, take it to the Pervomaisky landfill, carry out additional sorting and, after briquetting, transport it to those industries that can process secondary raw materials , the press service of the Government quotes Sevastopol Evgeny Gorlov.
In addition, the Department of City Services has carried out work to organize separate waste collection in parks where bins have already been placed. It is planned to hold explanatory conversations with the residents of Sevastopol about why this is necessary and how garbage sorting affects the environment.
Mayor Mikhail Razvozhaev instructed Vice-Governor Igor Mikheev to also organize educational work on the formation of environmental culture among schoolchildren.
You can prepare a special series of lessons, for example, as part of a biology lesson, in which employees of the BGS (regional operator for the treatment of municipal solid waste «Improvement of the city of Sevastopol») will tell children about such a concept as «separate waste collection «. In my opinion, this will help to deepen the knowledge of schoolchildren about the relationship between nature and man, to educate children in respect for the environment. It is necessary to tell that in our city there is such a program , — emphasizes the governor.
Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Ecology Yulia Gavrilova noted that in the Central City Children’s Library. A.P. Gaidar, a similar program is already being implemented.
Recall that a project on separate waste collection has started in Sevastopol. It is planned to install about 200 special containers in parks and squares of the city, and 27 more — at container sites. New containers are intended only for recyclable materials — waste paper (paper, cardboard), plastic (PET bottles), glass, metal. They differ from standard containers in color, as well as in textual and graphic designation of types and groups of accumulated waste.
