On October 28 and 29, the art cluster “Tavrida” (a project of Rosmolodezh) is organizing a Green Festival in the city of Sudak in Crimea. This event will mark a new stage in the history of afforestation on the peninsula. Everyone can make a contribution to the green heritage of Crimea. On the last weekend of October, Tavrida.ART is organizing a large family green festival, which will take place in the area of the Meganom Academy of Creative Industries near Sudak. “Tavrida” will green Kapsel Bay and the coastal area near Cape Meganom — a place that is so loved and appreciated by residents and guests of the city.
As a result of the Green Festival, a single landscape complex with a variety of gardens, squares and protective plantings will be formed around the territory of the Academy art cluster. Using modern environmental technologies, Tavrida.ART will create a new green heritage in the south-eastern part of Crimea.
Over the course of two days, residents will participate in the planting of coniferous trees: on the territory of the Meganom Academy on October 28 and in the embankment area on October 29. A team of professional gardeners and landscape designers will help them with this. About 1,000 evergreen cedars, cypresses and perennial shrubs will become part of the new ecosystem in Kapsel Bay.
In addition, the “Plant Exchange” event will take place as part of the festival. On October 28, everyone will be able to exchange their plants with each other or donate them to the Meganom Academy Foundation in exchange for souvenirs and commemorative sets. Anyone who does not have plants will be able to take any home at the “Plant Acceptance” stand.
The Green Festival is also a rich cultural and educational program. For guests, it is planned to conduct “green” excursions and environmental master classes, a fair of Crimean craftsmen, DJ sets on the beach stage from invited artists, a show by Tavrida residents, as well as a business program and activities from partners. Also, the Russian folk rock band The Hatters, which will give a concert in Crimea for the first time, and the popular singer Khabib will perform for residents and guests of the peninsula.
In preparation for the festival, the Meganom Academy of Creative Industries will host a week-long educational intensive “Green Resort: Integrated Development of the Architectural and Landscape Environment of the Coastal Territory.” A team of experts in the field of gardening, plant growing and landscape design will create a set of projects for landscaping and landscaping the territory of Kapsel Bay.
The event was organized with the participation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Roszapovedtsentr.
