The Zaporizhzhya Regional Court rendered a verdict in a criminal case against Ukrainian citizen Yulia Koveshnikova. She was found guilty under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (espionage).
It was established that from June 2022 to January 2023, Koveshnikova collected and transmitted to her partner, who was serving in the armed forces of Ukraine, information about the location of personnel, equipment and weapons of units of the Provisional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Zaporozhye region. The transmitted data could be used to inflict fire on law enforcement locations— reported the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
The court agreed with the position of the state prosecutor and sentenced Koveshnikova to 13 years in prison to be served in a general regime correctional colony.
