Costumed art procession: carnival at the festival «Tavrida.ART» will be held in a new quality

From August 17 to 21, the anniversary Festival of Young Art «Tavrida.ART» will be held in the Crimea near Sudak. A costumed art procession is a traditional event of the festival, but this year it will be presented in a new way. The images of the carnival participants will personify the cultural symbols of the peoples of Russia.

In 2023, in honor of its first anniversary, the festival will be held under an updated name — the Tavrida.ART Festival of Young Art. Within five days, spectators and participants will visit five key festivals within the general program, see five presentations of scientists’ developments and vibrant show programs on five different stages. The main thing that all formats of the festival will be devoted to is the demonstration of the achievements of young creators and professionals in a wide variety of areas of activity.

One of the landmark events of the Tavrida.ART Festival will be the art procession, a traditional carnival that brings together participants, partners, guests and spectators from all over Russia. The festive column will embody the multifaceted images and cultural characteristics of Russia. In 2023, the art procession will be held under the flag of Russia and will reflect the whole flavor of the vast country from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. In the colors of the tricolor, participants will see a cornflower field, polar bears, the Kremlin star and other recognizable symbols. The new route will take place on the territory of the youth and educational resort «Tavrida.ART».

Recall that at the Tavrida.ART Festival in 2022, three festive platforms were involved in the procession, and more than 1,500 people in national costumes and cult images became participants in the art parade. The carnival movement passed through seven familiar locations of «Tavrida» and demonstrated the main cultural values ​​of multinational Russia.

In 2023, the Tavrida.ART Festival (a project from Rosmolodezh) will celebrate its fifth anniversary and become a high-profile cultural event of the coming summer. 3,500 artists, writers, musicians, actors, designers, directors, choreographers, event marketing and tourism industry specialists from 89 regions of the country will gather in the heart of the country’s youth and educational resort. 5 different venues await the participants: the festival of performing arts, cinema, music, the Art-Molodist fair, the Science as Art festival. During the festival, the opening of the modern exhibition center «Art-Expo», a large-scale art procession, presentations of the developments of young Russian scientists, as well as performances by popular Russian artists: Vanya Dmitrienko, MIA BOYKA, RAMIL, Lesha Svika, ST, Anet Say, Mitya Fomina and other popular performers and musical groups.

Throughout its existence, the event has established itself as the largest event in Russia for the self-realization of young figures of culture, art and creative industries. Since 2019, 15.5 thousand artists from all over the country have taken part in it. This year, the audience is waiting for bright shows with the participation of stars, a demonstration of the achievements of science and art, a show of works by contemporary artists, designers and fashion designers, film and theater premieres.
