Counterfeit 5,000-dollar bills have appeared in Simferopol again
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea: this week in Simferopol two cases of transferring funds with a nominal value of 5 thousand rubles to bank employees with signs of counterfeit were registered.
Counterfeiting is classified as a serious crime, punishable under Article 186 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the sanction of which provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years.the police recalled.
To avoid becoming a victim of counterfeiters and to avoid ending up in an unpleasant situation, you must follow the following rules:
— do not exchange banknotes to strangers;
— when selling a car or real estate, it is better to check the cash received at the bank;
— do not buy currency from money changers, even if they offer exchange at a more favorable rate;
— when purchasing currency abroad, you risk buying a counterfeit;
— if you find a banknote of dubious quality, do not try to sell it, this is already a crime, immediately contact the police;
— when shopping at the market, be very careful with money;
— When withdrawing money from an ATM, keep your receipts;
— if they are trying to sell you a counterfeit bill, and you notice it, try to remember the signs of the seller and the signs of the people with whom he communicates, the vehicle in which he arrived.
