It was proposed to develop a single list of invasive plant species for the regions. However, due to differences in natural conditions, they abandoned this approach.

By the second reading, a number of amendments were made to the draft law. It is proposed to fix the concept of «dangerous species of alien plant» in the legislation. Such species will include any invasive plants that can harm human health, ecosystems, agriculture, and other species of plants and animals. In addition, ways of combating dangerous plants are determined. Among them are mechanical removal, the use of chemical and biological products.

Owners of land will have to take measures to destroy dangerous plants. Lists of such plants will be formed in the regions.

If thickets of plants recognized as dangerous in the region are found on the site, the owner will be given an order. A weed plant will need to be destroyed.
