Court verdict: 6 years in prison. What will the ex-employee of the Bakhchisarai administration be imprisoned for?
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Bakhchisaray district prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a local resident. He was found guilty under CC. 3, 4 tbsp. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). The court found that the man, being an employee of the local administration, received 350 thousand rubles from a city resident to resolve the issue of the possibility of providing her with a plot of land to locate a retail facility.
Subsequently, the man, under the pretext of providing assistance in acquiring land and home ownership, received more than 5 million rubles from another victim. For a long time, the fraudster evaded concluding a final purchase and sale agreement for the specified land plots, receiving funds from the buyer in installments for the sale of the plots— said the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 6 years in prison to serve the sentence in a general regime correctional colony. The civil claims of the victims were satisfied in full.
