CrimeaPRESS reports:

As of July 1, 2023, the positive dynamics of corporate lending continues in the Republic of Crimea. During the year, the loan portfolio of the region’s enterprises increased by more than 31% and at the beginning of the third quarter of this year amounted to almost 139 billion rubles. Its growth rate is comparable to the all-Russian indicator (+30.1%). At the beginning of July, the portfolio of loans to small and medium-sized businesses increased by more than 1.5 times compared to the same date last year, to almost 60.5 billion rubles. At the same time, the portfolio of loans to large businesses increased to 78.4 billion rubles — an increase over the year amounted to 17.8%.

The increase in lending activity of the Crimean business is still due to the effect of preferential programs with state support for SMEs, — Igor Tsvetkov, head of the Bank of Russia Branch for the Republic of Crimea, commented on the situation. — In addition, against the background of the ongoing recovery of economic activity, the need for working capital for organizations is increasing.

In the sectoral structure of the loan portfolio, the largest share is occupied by loans in the field of wholesale and retail trade — 24.1%, transport and communications — 18.3%, manufacturing — 14.7%, as well as loans provided to enterprises engaged in operations with real estate, rent and provision of services — 14.2%.
