Crimea: a cycle of publications «Victory in the Persons» — a veteran of the Great Patriotic War Maria Chaluhidi
Krympress reports:
Maria Adamovna was born on March 28, 1926 in the city of Karasubazar (now Belogorsk) in a large and friendly family. In 1941, she graduated from 7 classes and, like many girls of her generation, dreamed of becoming a pilot.
But the war began. The older brothers Masha stood up to the defense of the Fatherland: Fedor went to the front, and Ivan and George into the partisan detachment.
Fifteen -year -old Maria also did not stand aside. She became a coherent partisan detachment: she wore leaflets, transferred important information to the detachment, delivered products to the partisans, and carried out other feasible instructions.
After the war, Maria Adamovna continued to work for the benefit of her homeland. For more than ten years, she headed the planned department of the inter -column construction organization of the Belogorsky district.
Sergei Aksyonov added that when he retired, the veteran took an active part in many events and events significant for her hometown.
Maria Adamovna made a great contribution to the patriotic education of youth and with a personal example showed what true love for her native land is— concluded the head of Crimea.
