Crimea and Kherson region — on the organization of traffic on the land route after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge

Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov met with Acting Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo.
They discussed the measures necessary to resolve the situation that had arisen in connection with the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which occurred on the night of July 17th. Among other things, they discussed algorithms that will help ease the way for motorists following an alternative route through the DPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the operation of checkpoints on the border between regions and possible congestion.
Sergey Aksyonov said that all operational information about the current situation on the Crimean bridge is published on the portal of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Crimea. At the same time, the progress and timing of work to restore traffic on the bridge will be commented on by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, and the causes of the emergency — by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Federal Security Service.
Information about the availability of rest and food points, gas stations will be updated in the near future. The possibility of reducing the curfew in the new regions is being considered. In the event of traffic congestion, the necessary conditions will be created for comfortable waiting— added the Head of the Crimea.
Sergey Aksyonov also stressed that all actions are coordinated with the authorities from the new regions.
Under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, the operational headquarters is working. I am sure that traffic on the bridge will be restored as soon as possible.— said the Head of the Republic.
In turn, Volodymyr Saldo assured that all necessary measures are being taken to resolve the situation, and thanked the Head of Crimea and the authorities of the Republic for the constant support of the Kherson region.
