Crimea authorities: fish and seafood after an emergency in the Black Sea are checked

The state of air and bioresources samples after emergency with tankers in the Black Sea is checked regularly, there are no deviations from the norm. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaliy Savelyev at a meeting of the right to committee to coordinate work to eliminate the consequences of emergencies.
The data of regular measurements of air samples, drinking water, biological resources remain normally— quotes the message RIA Novosti Crimea.
After the complete pumping of the fuel oil from the feed part of the Volgonft-239 tanker, work is underway to dismantle the external and internal structures of the vessel. At the moment, 10% of the total tonnage of the stern has been dismantled. The work is planned to be completed until March 31 of this year.
The work continues on land. In the beach territory of Anapa and the Temryuk district, the device of the protective shaft continues, more than 30 km of the shaft is laid, of which more than 15 km are covered with nets. The main function of this shaft is to protect the coast from pollution with oil products as a result of possible emissions from the water area, including during adverse weather conditions.
All planned and approved plans are fully implemented. We continue to evaluate the options for lifting the sunken fragments of Volgonoft-239 and the Volgonft-212 tanker, taking into account the assessment of all the necessary environmental safety requirements. In February, we will decide on the solution on this issue— concluded Vitaly Savelyev.
December 15 2024, during a storm in the area of the Kerch Strait, the Volgonft 212 and Volgoneft 239 tankers crashed. 27 sailors were evacuated, one of them died. About 2.4 thousand tons of fuel oil hit the sea.
