The rating was compiled by experts from the International Russian Event Awards.
Crimea was included in the rating of eventful regions of Russia. Experts compiled it based on the results of the finals of the International Russian Event Awards 2023, which took place in Nizhny Novgorod. This is reported by Tourist portal of Crimea.
In total, in 2023, 641 projects from 65 regions of Russia and 7 projects from 2 regions of the Republic of Belarus were submitted for the XII International Award in the field of event tourism Russian Event Awards— the founder of the competition, Gennady Shatalov, told the Tourist Portal.
From Crimea, 52 projects from 8 regions of the peninsula competed for participation in the finals of the award. Crimeans took first places in 13 nominations. The full list of our award finalists can be found link.
According to the results that participants received in the official nominations of the Russian Event Awards 2023, a rating of event tourism regions was compiled. Crimea is in the top 10. Along with it, experts included in this rating: the Republic of Bashkortostan, Nizhny Novgorod region, St. Petersburg and Kuzbass, Belgorod region, Perm region, Tyumen region, Krasnodar region, Moscow and Sverdlovsk regions. The international award in the field of event tourism, Russian Event Awards, was established in 2012 on the initiative of the chairman of the board of the PR agency FROS Region PR and the head of the event tourism committee of the RST, Gennady Shatalov, as an industry award awarded based on the results of an open competition of projects for achievements in the field development of event tourism. Until 2022, it was held in the format of the National Award.
