Crimea in the holiday season 2025 will be provided with drinking water by 60%

The level of provision of Crimea with clean drinking water in the holiday season 2025 will be 60%. About this on the air of the radio «Satellite in the Crimea» Svetlana Shabelnikova, chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea on Ecology and Natural Resources, said.

We recently held a meeting of the Committee on preparation for the holiday season in terms of providing Crimea with clean drinking water. I want to say that this season — and despite the fact that there were no rains, spring snow and precipitation helped us a little — 60% will be provided with drinking resources— said Shabelnikova.

She noted that the southern coast of Crimea and all resort cities will be provided with drinking water uninterruptedly.

Just a year ago, at that time, at the beginning of the holiday season, there was a problem in Yevpatoria. Today, the water carrier has been replaced there, therefore Saki and Yevpatoria will be supplied with drinking water— added the head of the committee.

Shabelnikova recalled that the issue regarding the construction of two reservoirs, Martovsky and Solnechnogorsky on the southern coast of Crimea, was finally resolved, and the completion of these works would fully solve the problem of ensuring clean water (all settlements) from Alushta to Yalta on the southern coast of Crimea.

And already this year, the construction of water treatment plants in Krasnoperekopsk will be completed — a place that can be called a kind of gates of Crimea, the parliamentarian added.

And this is also important: the region will be provided with clean drinking water. And the issue was resolved in Feodosia, in Sudak. That is, the work is underway— concluded Shabelnikova.
