The Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation and the authorities of the Republic of Crimea are solving the issues of water supply of the peninsula. Topics for discussion: reduction of water losses, fullness of supply reservoirs, provision of reliable water supply to the region.
Construction and installation works of the Beshterek-Zuysky water intake have been completed in full. The volume of water resource use for the purpose of water supply of Crimea amounted to 250 million cubic meters per year in 2022. At the moment, all surface sources of water supply are filled to the maximum volume, which will guarantee the centralized water supply of Crimea for at least 1.5 — 2 years.— said Prime Minister of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk.
According to him, work is underway to reduce losses in Simferopol, by the end of this year, 21.8 km of water supply networks will be repaired, which will reduce losses by 11.28 thousand cubic meters per day.
Earlier, in 2021, a major overhaul of water supply networks with a total length of 29.9 km was completed. This year, water losses have decreased by 16.58 thousand cubic meters per day.
