Crimea is in the top 20 regions by the number of participants in the youth direction of the “Masters of Hospitality” project

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Republic of Crimea entered the top twenty in terms of the number of registered participants in the youth direction of the “Masters of Hospitality” project. 44 young residents of the region decided to try their hand. The guys will have the opportunity to undergo an internship and establish themselves in top industry companies in the country or take a design workshop and, together with a mentor, refine their idea, turning it into a real project in the field of tourism.

The “Masters of Hospitality” project is being implemented within the framework of the “Social Elevators for Everyone” program of the national project “Education” and is aimed at creating favorable conditions for the development of talented and proactive specialists in the hospitality industry and staffing the tourism industry. Since 2021, the project has opened a youth direction for active, talented, enthusiastic young people taking their first steps in the field of tourism. The age of the participants is from 18 to 35 years. This year, almost 3.5 thousand people from 88 regions of Russia applied to participate in the youth direction of the country’s main personnel tourism project «Masters of Hospitality» presidential platform “Russia is a land of opportunity”.

Since 2021, 69 people have submitted applications from the Republic of Crimea for the youth direction of the country’s main tourism project “Masters of Hospitality”, of which one became a finalist.

The head of the “Masters of Hospitality” project, Bogdan Kondratov, noted that in the new season, participation in one of two tracks is open for young people: a project track, where guys, together with mentors, turn theirs into a real project in the field of tourism, and an internship track, which is an opportunity to establish themselves in top industry companies in the country.

In the project track, participants are tested to check basic knowledge about Russia, as well as communication literacy. Afterwards, they will present their ideas aimed at tourist attractiveness and the development of youth tourism in the country. The most interesting ones will be selected by tourism industry experts – winners, mentors and experts of the “Masters of Hospitality” project. Over the course of three weeks, industry professionals and young people will refine and bring their original ideas to finished projects. The finalists will not only get to the largest youth festivals, where they will have the chance to defend their ideas and receive a monetary reward, but also realize their product with the support of experts. They will find new connections and partners, gain invaluable experience from a mentor and an understanding of how to implement projects.

The internship track will also take place in several stages: in addition to testing, track participants must solve a case task in the areas of “Business sector of the hospitality industry” or “Service in the hospitality industry” — a simulated situation in which they need to quickly identify a problem and find solutions. Children will also have to prepare a professional resume and have an interview in video format. Employers will select the most motivated participants and invite them to a 2-level internship. The first stage of internships is work in regional companies in line positions for a period of one month. Upon successful completion of the stage, young masters receive an invitation to work and establish themselves in federal companies.
