Crimea is underway to preserve monuments, military graves and other memorable places
Krympress reports:
The head of the Republic of Crimea spoke in his Telegram channel about the current results of the work on tidying monuments dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. Sergei Aksyonov emphasized:
According to our president, memory is, first of all, specific affairs. This is constant, and not only on holidays, the support of our veterans, and, of course, the same constant concern for the preservation of monuments dedicated to the events and heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
So, in the Republic of Crimea, work on reconstruction, restoration, preservation and putting in order of monuments, military graves and other memorable places is carried out in constant mode.
This activity is financed both from the budget and from extra -budgetary sources, a huge number of caring people are involved in it — from volunteers and entrepreneurs to deputies and officials of different levels— noted the head of the republic.
According to Sergey Aksyonov, in Crimea more than 900 objects of cultural heritage related to the Great Patriotic War, they are included in the appropriate register.
A number of memorable places are located in an inaccessible area. For example, the mass grave of victims of fascist terror in the Chair tract is at high altitude, 20 kilometers from the nearest settlement. Rescuers of the Crimea “Crimea — Savior” took care of this facility. In total, they patronize 18 memorable places— notes the head of Crimea.
In addition, employees of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea annually land monuments and memorials located on the lands of the forest fund. Today, there are about 30 such objects.
Sergei Aksyonov expressed gratitude to everyone who contributes to the common cause of preserving historical memory.
