Crimea is one of the most visited tourist regions of the country. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko during meetingswhich today, January 22, was held by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
More than 80 thousand guests came to Crimea during the New Year holidays, which is more than during previous holidays. The Republic continues to be one of the most visited regions of the country,” Chernyshenko noted.
Experts note an impressive increase in demand for holidays within the country. According to preliminary data, the increase in the number of trips compared to last year’s New Year holidays amounted to more than half a million people (about 19%), while the average hotel occupancy was more than 80%.
The tourism industry and specialized services, according to Chernyshenko, were ready for peak loads.
