«CRIMEA-SPAS» came to the aid of motor tourists stuck on Mount Chatyr-Dag
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Despite warnings from rescuers about worsening weather conditions, some motorists still neglect safety rules. So, yesterday afternoon, “CRIMEA-SPAS” received a signal that in a mountainous forest area on Mount Chatyr-Dag, due to icing on the road surface, a car slid into a ditch and got stuck. There are 4 people in the vehicle, 1 of them is a minor. Due to the low air temperature, rescuers’ assistance in evacuation is required.
Arriving at the victims, rescuers using rigging equipment and a winch removed the car from the ditch onto a dirt road. After this, employees of the Crimean Ministry of Emergency Situations escorted the people to the nearest settlement. No one needed medical care— reported the emergency department.
Let us remind you that a storm warning has been announced in Crimea regarding worsening weather conditions for January 12-13. In order to avoid various emergency situations, rescuers strongly recommended that residents and guests of the peninsula during this period refrain from walking into the mountain-forest zone, including by car.
