«CRIMEA-SPAS» held exercises on parachute landing

Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Sadakliev announced that yesterday 11 rescuers of the Simferopol and Evpatoria emergency rescue teams «Crimea-SPAS» conducted practical exercises in parachuteless landing, together with the pilots of the Southern Aviation Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry (SARC EMERCOM of the Russian Federation). The training took place in the village of Nikolaevka, Simferopol region.
Employees of «CRIMEA-SPAS» practiced actions to search for and rescue victims from the water surface in the daytime and at night. During the training, they used the standard rescue equipment of the MI-8 helicopter, in particular the winch. From a height of 30 m, 25 descents and ascents were carried out to help a conditionally drowning personthe minister said.
To ensure safety on the water, an additional group of rescuers from among the Yevpatoriya detachment worked on the m / s Burevestnik-530. For their part, the pilots of the SASC Ministry of Emergency Situations worked out flights out of sight of the coastline, hovering over a certain point.
During the exercises, special attention was paid to working out the interaction of the aircraft crew with the rescuers who carried out the landing from the MI-8 helicopter.
