«CRIMEA-SPAS» twice provided assistance to motorists stuck in the mountains

This morning, at 5:05, the operator on duty received a signal that a Hyundai car was stuck in a snowdrift in the area of the Yalta-Bakhchisarai highway. There are 2 people in the car. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea, the duty personnel of the Yalta emergency rescue team «CRIMEA-SPAS» were sent to the scene of the incident.
Upon arrival, rescuers used rigging equipment to evacuate a passenger car from the snow drift onto a paved road. No one needed medical attention— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
At the same time, it was reported that a Mitsubishi car was also stuck in a snowdrift in the same area. Rescuers, using rigging equipment and entrenching tools, evacuated the car onto a hard surface. Neither the driver nor the passenger required medical attention.
Stormy weather conditions remain on the peninsula, with snow observed in some places. It is not safe to be in the mountains under these conditions.noted the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Rescuers recommend that Crimeans and guests of the peninsula not drive their cars into the mountains.
