“CRIMEA-SPAS” twice provided assistance to people lost in the mountains over the past 24 hours
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Yesterday, at 18:45, the control panel of the emergency department on duty received a signal that when descending from the Sequoia Grove (Alushta), 3 people, including 2 minors, lost their bearings due to the dark time of day and could not independently leave the mountain-forest zone. Rescuers’ help is needed to evacuate them.
Employees of the Alushta emergency rescue team «CRIMEA-SPAS», having previously telephoned the lost tourists and found out their approximate location, moved to the search area. Upon arrival, rescuers quickly found people on the southeastern slopes of Mount Chatyr-Dag above Mount Puan-Khyr. They did not need medical care. They were evacuated from the mountain-forest zone to their personal transport in a service vehicle. Finally, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea held a preventive conversation with tourists on compliance with the rules of behavior in the mountain-forest zone— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
In addition, on the same day at 18:48, the emergency department’s operational control panel received a message that two girls had gotten lost during a tourist walk in the area of Mount Ai-Georgiy (Sudak). Due to the dark time of day, they cannot leave the mountain-forest zone on their own. Rescuers’ help is needed to evacuate them.
Employees of the Sudak emergency rescue team of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS» called the lost girls on a mobile phone, clarified their approximate location and, together with the rescuers of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea, moved to the search area. Upon arrival, employees of the emergency department quickly found the tourists on the southern slope of Mount Ai-Georgiy. They did not need medical care— said the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
