Crimea transport police officers revealed the theft of a laptop. In hot pursuit

During the operational-search measures, thanks to the competent and professional actions of the employees of the criminal investigation department, in just a few hours it was possible to establish and detain the suspect in the theft. It turned out to be the previously convicted 43-year-old resident of the Dzhankoy district of the Republic of Crimea. He confessed to the deed and explained to law enforcement officers that, being in the waiting room of the railway station, he drew attention to the bag left unattended and, taking advantage of the lack of attention from passers -by and the owner, secretly abducted it. Hiding from the scene of the crime, he ordered the stolen property at his discretion. The victim caused significant material damage for a total of more than 34,000 rubles-noted in the press service of the department.

Employees of the Investigative Department of the Crimean LU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in transport against the attacker opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”, the sanctions of which provide for the maximum punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years with restriction of liberty for up to one year or without it.

For the period of the investigation, the accused was elected a preventive measure in the form of a non -departure subscription.
