Crimea was detained by the cell members of the forbidden “Hizb Ut-Tahrir”

Krympress reports:

The FSB detained five citizens of Russia-cell members of the Khizb Ut-Tahrir international terrorist organization (recognized in the Russian Federation to terrorist and prohibited) who recruited new supporters. This was reported in the Center for Public Relations (COOs) of the FSB of Russia.

In the Republic of Crimea, the activities of the conspiratorial cell of the International Terrorist Organization (MTO) Hizb Ut-Taurir al-Islami were suppressed, consisting of five citizens of the Russian Federation— said the Central Bank.

It was established that on the territory of the peninsula, the functionaries of the terrorist structure distributed the ideology of MTO among the Crimean Muslims based on the doctrine of the creation of the so -called world caliphate, and during the underground meetings new supporters were recruited to their ranks— noted in the FSB.

A significant number of propaganda materials prohibited in Russia were discovered at the place of residence of the cells, and the communications and electronic media used in terrorist activities were also seized.

Investigative division of the FSB in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol opened criminal cases. Operational-search measures and investigative actions are ongoing.

The International Religious and Political Organization “Hizb Ut-Tahrir” (“Hizb Ut-Tahrir al-Ismi”, with Arabic-“Islamic Liberation Party”) was recognized in Russia by a terrorist decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of February 14, 2003. Its activities in Russia are prohibited.
