Alexandra Mitina from Simferopol (coach — Sergey Churilov) became the champion of Russia in mixed martial arts MMA. Competitions on June 2-6 were held in Astrakhan at the site of the SC «Zvezdny».
Our compatriot excelled in the weight category up to 56, 7 kg. The final against the current national champion Lyubov Salnikova from Yekaterinburg turned out to be incredibly difficult. The advantage was on the side of the opponent, but three seconds before the end of the fight, Alexandra Mitina went to the elbow lever and won an early victory. Recall that last year Mitina was the silver medalist of the Russian MMA Championship, and now she has gold in her assets! This year for Mitina, by the way, is very successful: in January she became the bronze medalist of the MMA World Championship, and in May she won the Russian championship in classic pankration , — notes «Crimean Sport» .
