Crimean and Sevastopol “lifters” took six medals at the Russian championship in Tula

On April 6-16, the Russian powerlifting championship and championship (press and classic bench press) were held in Tula at the Oruzheynik sports and recreation center. The Crimean team won 4 medals at these competitions (2 gold, one silver and one bronze).

The national champion in the bench press in the weight category up to 105 kg was the Master of Sports of Russia Sergei Yakush from the Primorsky Territory, representing Crimea in the parallel competition. His result – 345 kg – corresponds to the standard of an international master of sportsnotes «Crimean sport».

Master of Sports of Russia Konstantin Lesukov from Kerch took gold in the classic bench press in the category over 120 kg (result – 240 kg).

Candidate Master of Sports of Russia Olga Golovataya from Krasnoperekopsk became a silver medalist in the classic bench press in weight up to 52 kg (result — 90 kg).

Khristina Rachina from Feodosia is a bronze medalist at the Russian Championship among juniors 19-23 years old in the weight category up to 84 kg.

The residents of Sevastopol received two awards.

In the bench press in the category up to 93 kg, the title of Russian champion went to international master of sports Valentin Kiselev (result — 315 kg).

In the classic bench press, Master of Sports of Russia Alexey Nazarenko in the weight category up to 83 kg received “silver” (result – 200 kg).

In total, more than 700 athletes from 84 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition.
