Crimean and Sevastopol residents win five medals at the Russian championship in grappling and grappling-gi

More than 13,000 athletes from 56 regions took part in the competition. The representatives of Crimea and Sevastopol won five medals (3 gold and 2 silver). Melania Shiroka from Sevastopol became the winner of the grappling championship in the weight category up to 34 kg among girls aged 12-13. Another representative of Sevastopol, Sofia Zaslavskaya, representing Crimea in the parallel standings, was the best in grappling in the weight category up to 48 kg among girls aged 14-15. Bakhchisaray resident Bilyal Memetov had no equal in grappling-gi in the category up to 27 kg among boys aged 12-13. Ekaterina Sycheva from Yevpatoriya took two silver medals — in grappling and grappling-gi in the weight category up to 64 kg among juniors aged 18-19.— reports «Crimean Sport».
It should be noted that Melania Shiroka, Sofia Zaslavskaya and Bilyal Memetov will represent the Russian team at the World Championships in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, in October of this year.
