Crimean artist and jeweler Mehti Islamov was awarded the medal «For hard work and art»

The Crimean artist and jeweler, the chief artist of the Crimean jewelry house specializing in the production of unique ethnic silver decorations, was awarded the medal “for hard work and art”. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko.
Crimea is a truly unique region with a rich multinational culture, which is manifested in all aspects of its life, including production. Crimean national jewelry unique in their beauty and color has long entered the market outside the peninsula and are in great demand. I sincerely congratulate the Mehti of Islamov and wish further fruitful work for the benefit of Russia and the Republic of Crimea— said Irina Kiviko.
On International Jeweler Day, the Medal Crimean was awarded to the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov. The awarding ceremony of Russian artists who contributed to the development of the jewelry industry took place at the State Historical Museum in Moscow.
The medal “For Hardness and Art” was established in 1829 at the first public exhibition of Russian manufactory in St. Petersburg, thanks to the Minister of Finance of the Russian Empire, Yegor Frantsevich Kankrin and revived in 2022 as a departmental award of the Ministry of Finance of Russia.
