Crimean cities are among the top picturesque holiday destinations in October
CrimeaPRESS reports:
October 25 is celebrated as International Artist’s Day. This holiday is celebrated annually all over the world and is dedicated to the birthday of Pablo Picasso. We are all familiar with the names of the artists who glorified Russian landscapes — Alexey Savrasov, Ivan Aivazovsky, Ilya Repin. They did not always paint deserted spaces — very often cities, people, everyday life and holidays appeared on their canvases. Today we can also admire the landscapes that once inspired painters.
The Russian hotel and apartment booking service TVIL.RU, having compared the cities most in demand among landscape painters and booking data, identified the most “picturesque” destinations for booking accommodation in October 2023. In first place was St. Petersburg, the city that was written by Fedor Alekseev, Alexander Bryullov , Ivan Shishkin, Konstantin Makovsky and many others. In second place is Moscow, which remains on the canvases of Vasily Perov, Alexey Savrasov, Vasily Polenov, Vasily Surikov, Apollinary Vasnetsov and many others. And in third place is Yalta, which was glorified in colors by Ivan Aivazovsky and Isaac Levitan and dozens of other famous artists. Autumn is a very fertile time for a painter. So how much does it cost to relax in the famous autumn landscapes in October? — noted in the press service of the service.
