Crimean citizen starts hooligan showdown in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The perpetrator turned out to be a resident of the Republic of Crimea, who had previously been prosecuted for attempted especially serious crime and causing serious bodily harm.

It was established that the 26-year-old Crimean had been living in Sevastopol with his girlfriend for five months. After drinking alcohol, a verbal conflict arose between the couple, during which the young man, while on the street, holding a knife in his hand, loudly shouted obscene language at his cohabitant, who was on the balcony of the apartment. A passerby made a remark to the troublemaker and asked him not to disturb public order, since children playing in the yard could become witnesses. This angered the offender even more and he took out all his anger on the caring man: first he insulted him, and then hit him in the leg and head, and also threw a knife case at him, — reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

Local residents who witnessed the incident called the police.

Patrol and guard service officers of the OMVD of Russia for the Leninsky District immediately arrived at the scene of the incident, detained the troublemaker and took him to the police station for further investigation.

The Investigative Department has opened a criminal case against the detainee under Part 2 of Article 213 «Hooliganism», he faces up to seven years in prison. The defendant has been taken into custody.
