Crimean Customs Hands Over Confiscated Phones, Tablets, Headphones to the People's Front

The total value of the “gift from the offending entrepreneur” is over 4 million rubles.
120 units of electronic devices, including mobile phones, tablets, headphones with a total value of more than 4 million 340 thousand rubles, confiscated by the Crimean customs office as part of customs control after the release of goods, were handed over to representatives of the All-Russian public movement «People’s Front».
Communication devices and other gadgets imported into the territory of the Russian Federation in violation of customs legislation and without paying customs duties were found by Crimean customs officers at the home of an individual entrepreneur in the city of Simferopol– the press service of the Crimean Customs reports.
During the verification activities, the entrepreneur was unable to provide documents confirming the legality of the import of goods into the territory of the EAEU.
An administrative investigation was conducted into this incident, during which comprehensive evidence of the illegal movement of goods across the customs border of the EAEU was obtained.— explained the head of the Crimean customs, Viktor Kholichev.
By a court decision, the individual entrepreneur was found guilty of committing an administrative offence under Article 16.21 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation and was sentenced to confiscation of the objects of the offence to the benefit of the state.
