Crimean customs officers handed over the Bentley Turbo R confiscated from a US citizen to the state
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Crimean customs officers handed over to the state the Bentley Turbo R car, which was detained for violating the rules of import into the territory of the EAEU. The amount of debt for customs duties and penalties to be paid amounted to 4.6 million rubles.
An American car, manufactured in 1990, was imported into Russia from Massachusetts by a US citizen back in 2015 through the Dzhankoy checkpoint. Under the terms of temporary import, it had to be exported within a year or placed under another procedure (for example, release for domestic consumption)— reports the press service of the Crimean customs.
Customs officers established that the owner of the vehicle left the country, leaving it for the use of a trusted person in Crimea.
The car was found and detained by customs officers, and then transferred by court decision to the state.
