Crimean cyclists won well-deserved awards at all-Russian competitions

Athletes of the national team of the Republic of Crimea successfully performed at the Championship, Cup, Russian Championship and All-Russian track cycling competition in Omsk. Pupils of sports schools and federations of the republic take prizes at all-Russian competitions thanks to the implementation of the activities of the national project “Demography” in the region.
Sofya Sorokolatova won gold in the 3 km team pursuit race and silver in the 2 km pair pursuit race (coach Vladimir Rozhdestvensky).
Nikita Kirzhaikin won a gold medal in the 4 km pair pursuit race and a silver medal in the group points race.
Pavel Nichipurenko won silver in the 4 km pair pursuit race and two gold medals in the group points race and the elimination race.
Ivan Zalipyatsky and Alexander Tishkin won gold medals in the 3 km team pursuit race.
The head coach of the national team is Vladimir Zagorodniy.
Crimeans hold the bar high in cycling thanks to the sports school that was created in the republic and the support of the federal center. I thank the athletes and coaches,” noted the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Crimea, Olga Torubarova, in her congratulations.
The winners are students of the State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Cycling Sports School “Crimea” and the Cycling Federation of the Republic of Crimea.”
