Crimean doctors became participants in the forum of oncologists from the regions of the Southern Federal District

Chief physician of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Crimean Republican Oncology Clinical Dispensary named after. V. M. Efetov» Bekir Seferov and his deputy Ibragim Babaev took part in the forum of oncologists from the regions of the Southern Federal District.

The event was held at the Volgograd Regional Oncology Center and brought together about 350 oncology specialists from eight regions of the Southern Federal District.

During the forum, Crimean doctors presented a report “Transdiaphragmatic access for surgical interventions on the chest organs when performing abdominal operations.” This intervention is innovative and is actively being researched by employees of the Crimean Republican Oncology Clinical Dispensary named after. V. M. Efetova.

Also, leading experts from the Southern Federal District shared their knowledge and experience in the field of healthcare organization at all stages of providing specialized care to cancer patients, in the development and implementation of screening programs for early detection of the most common forms of malignant tumors, in methods of individual selection of personalized therapy, supportive and accompanying therapy.

The event became an important platform for discussions, interdisciplinary interaction and advanced training of specialists in the field of oncology. Following the results of the forum, Crimean and Volgograd specialists planned events for further exchange of experience.
