Crimean Ensemble «RAdonitsa» celebrated its anniversary
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On May 19, at the Zheleznodorozhnikov Palace of Culture, Simferopol residents enjoyed the sound of traditions: the folk ensemble “RAdonitsa” held an anniversary concert dedicated to the celebration of its 25th anniversary.
The team performed ancient ritual, game, calendar, comic and lyrical songs, with spiritual poems. The repertoire of “RAdonitsa” includes more than 300 folklore Russian, Ukrainian songs and even chants in Byzantine, Bulgarian and Georgian languages.
During its creative activity, the ensemble’s tour routes took place both in Simferopol and beyond: Sevastopol, Cherkassy, Kyiv, the Netherlands, France. The team has repeatedly won the Grand Prix of many international competitions.
Creative gifts to the ensemble were presented by the dance group “Rhythm” (director Natalia Lets), the dance group “Dance College” (director Lyudmila Nakonechnaya) and the ensemble of folk instruments “Kalinka” (artistic director: Honored Worker of the Republic of Crimea Zhelezko Yu.I.).
Director of the People’s Friendship House Larisa Sokirskaya congratulated the creative team of «RAdonitsa» on their anniversary and presented gratitude to graduate Emilia Zaikina, as well as to the parents of students who make a huge contribution to the development of folk art.
The folk ensemble was created by Alena Nikolaevna Poletneva in November 1999, then it was called “Rosava”, and in 2007 it changed its name to “RAdonitsa”.
Etymologically, the word “RADONITSA” goes back to the word “joy”. The special place of Radonitsa in the annual circle of church holidays obliges Christians not to grieve or lament the death of loved ones, but, on the contrary, to rejoice at their birth into another life – eternal life. Therefore Radonitsa – This is a celebration of victory over death and over all sorrow and sadness.
The artistic director of the ensemble carefully preserves and passes on the traditions of their ancestors. Theatrical form of concert performances, bright national costumes, stage embodiment of folk song traditions, beautiful children’s voices – all this gives the “RAdonitsa” team a unique, original flavor.
We wish Alena Nikolaevna and her students to continue to delight viewers and listeners! Happy anniversary!
