Crimean farmers plan to close 75% of sugar beet seed supplies to Russia
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, Crimea has a sowing area for sugar beet seeds of 330 hectares. By 2027, the sowing area is planned to be increased to 1.5-2 thousand hectares. Seed production will provide up to 75% of the country’s needshe said.
Pashtetskiy noted that the task of increasing seed production was set by the Russian Minister of Agriculture. This is necessary in order not to depend on other countries in terms of seed supplies.
