Crimean farmers threshed 1 million tons of grain and leguminous crops

The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, during a working trip to the Simferopol region, congratulated the Crimean grain growers on threshing 1 million tons of grain. Crimean agrarians presented the Head of the Republic with a sheaf of ears of grain crops as a symbol of the harvest.
Sergey Aksyonov got acquainted with the course of the harvesting campaign and noted the achievements of agricultural workers:
I congratulate the farmers on threshing a million tons of grains and legumes! This is an impressive result achieved thanks to the professionalism, dedication and diligence of all workers in the agricultural sector.
During the trip, the Head of the Republic of Crimea presented letters of thanks to the farmers.
I thank the farmers for their work and dedication! Food security and successful economic development of Crimea are in good hands— said Aksyonov.
To date, 49% of grain and leguminous crops have already been harvested in Crimea, and about 250,000 hectares have yet to be harvested.
The average yield is 33.7 centners per hectare. The leaders are Simferopol, Razdolnensky, Krasnoperekopsky and Sovetsky districts.
