This is a serious challenge and an important stage for most universities. Each participant presented a specific technological project through which we evaluated all the work, the whole plan of the University on the Strategy of its Development. It is especially pleasant to note that the heads of regions and representatives of federal ministries came to support their universities. There were top managers, leaders of large companies-university partners in each team of universities in each team. All this speaks of the growing role of the program itself and universities in the country’s economy— said the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov.
According to the results of the selection, the Crimean Federal University entered the third group along with another 67 universities in Russia — each of them will receive up to 100 million rubles. The funds of subsidies can be aimed at building a system of incentive payments for the faculty, development of university infrastructure, the acquisition of high-tech equipment, the involvement of world-class researchers, and the organization of scientific events.
The image of the future is associated with the strengthening of our positions as university 3.0 with a further increase in the share of income from R&D and other types of income income. We must become leaders in the field of preventive medicine and ensuring healthy longevity, cellular and biotechnology and regenerative medicine. As part of the achievement of the goals, the Institute of Applied Health and Rehabilitation Technologies will be created. Of course, this will require a number of transformations that we have already begun to realize with the active participation of the Consortium “Preventive Medicine, Healthy Longevity”, which unites the largest representatives of the sanatorium-resort industry, medical and scientific organizations, and industrial partners. Other projects aimed at working with youth and the development of agriculture will continue— emphasizes the acting Rector of KFU named after V.I. Vernadsky Vladimir Kuryanov.
