Crimean Federal University graduated more than 6,000 students into professional life

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Crimean Federal University graduated 6214 students this year. About 5,000 students received diplomas of higher education, and more than 1,000 of secondary vocational education.

Traditionally, the largest undergraduate graduation is 2626 full-time and part-time students. 858 people graduated from the specialty — these are mainly medical areas, and 1378 people graduated from the master’s program. A large graduation in secondary vocational education — 1294 people, of which 1120 people studied full-time. A total of 58 people completed postgraduate studies in both forms of education, — quotes the press service and. O. rector of KFU V. I. Vernadsky Vladimir Kuryanov.

924 graduates of the university received diplomas with honors this year.

We have a rather large release on paid education. Contrary to popular belief that commercial students do not study very well, we have 143 people graduated from the university with honors. I think this is a good indicator. Of course, we should always strive to increase it, since this is also an indicator of the quality of the work of the teaching staff and the quality of our recruitment.— emphasizes Vladimir Kuryanov.

According to him, despite the good employment indicators that the university shows from year to year, there remains a problem that needs to be worked on — this is a shortage of personnel in the field of healthcare and school education.

If we talk about secondary school teachers, then formally we do not train them, with the exception of branches in Yalta, Evpatoria and Armyansk, where teacher education programs are being implemented. However, graduates of the Taurida Academy are also in demand today as subject teachers. There are also our shortcomings here, since we did not pay enough attention to psychological and pedagogical training and practices that would allow them to acquire the skills required when working with children’s groups.— says Vladimir Kuryanov.

As the head of the university notes, solving the shortage of personnel in these areas requires systematic joint work of the university and the republican authorities, as well as regular educational work with students.

Recall that the Crimean Federal University is the largest university in the Crimea. It consists of 13 institutes, six colleges and a technical school located in different parts of the peninsula.
