In the Crimean Academic Russian Drama Theater named after. M. Gorky in Simferopol a solemn event was held dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the first university in Crimea. The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya.
The Deputy Prime Minister read out the welcoming address of the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov to the staff and students of the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the university.
Today, KFU is one of the important scientific, educational, and research centers in the South of Russia, with more than 23 thousand students studying. The university makes a significant contribution to the development of Crimea, to the formation of the personnel and scientific potential of our region. Scientific developments and discoveries are actively applied in practice. All this is the result of the team’s hard work, a creative approach to work, in which the main priorities are high quality education, the constant search for innovative solutions, and the development of students’ abilitiessays the greeting.
The greeting also focused on the fact that over all the years of its activity the university has come a long way, preserved and enhanced the best traditions, and ensured high standards of education. Over more than a century of history, generations of qualified specialists have been trained in many fields, including famous scientists and outstanding professionals in their field.
On behalf of the Head of Crimea, the Deputy Prime Minister wished the staff and students of the university health, peace, prosperity, new achievements and victories. Elena Romanovskaya presented state awards: the Order “For Fidelity to Duty”, medals “For Valiant Labor”, diplomas of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea with the presentation of a breastplate, and the distinctive sign “Watch from the Head of the Republic of Crimea”.
