Crimean motorized riflemen, reconnaissance officers, artillerymen, special forces soldiers, reconnaissance officers, as well as front-line hospitals in the Northern Military District zone thanked the residents of Crimea for the “warm” winter assistance delivered in recent months as part of the “People’s Front” project. Everything for victory! With the onset of cold weather at combat and front-line positions, she helped the guys cope with the frost.
You get used to everything, including the cold. But what is very important is that in our dugouts we have stoves and potbelly stoves, we heat them, we have heat. We are working, we can’t go anywhere without this, the situation in our positions is very difficult, but with people’s help we will definitely win,” shares a Crimean fighter from the front line of the Kherson direction of the Northern Military District.
Since the beginning of autumn, with the help of ordinary Crimeans and partners of the project “People’s Front. Everything for victory!” Several truckloads of construction materials for covering dugouts, tools, generators, potbelly stoves, bedding and mattresses, as well as 5 shipments of medicines were sent from the peninsula to the Northern Military District zone. Since the beginning of severe cold weather and the first snows, the Popular Front has received feedback from all units about the enormous benefits of the assistance provided and with gratitude to all those who helped collect it.
Of course, it is always very important to hear that people’s help was not only useful, but actually helped our heroes to face the cold weather at the ready. And we still need it — there is a request from the guys for warm equipment, thermal underwear, boots, and in the near future we are preparing to send several more trucks with building materials and firewood from our partners. And in one of the medical battalions we were asked to urgently help with a generator; the old one simply could not withstand the load. Thanks to everyone who is participating in this help, it is very much needed, and we invite everyone to join it, — says the head of the regional executive committee of the Popular Front in Crimea, Alla Vertinskaya.
