Crimean firefighters held training exercises on the territory of the Nizhnegorsky cannery

On Friday, February 16, for the first time in 2024, fire-tactical exercises of the 2nd rank of complexity were held. The exercises were carried out on the territory of the Nizhnegorsky cannery, a production facility with a large number of people.

According to the scenario, the cause of the fire was a violation of the rules for operating technological equipment and an overload of electrical networks in the boiler room. Due to the increase in pressure in the system, gas leaked and ignited, creating a flame in the room. As a result, the fire spread throughout the boiler room.

The administration of the facility, following the instructions, transmitted information about the fire to the 28th PSCh communication point and took measures to organize the evacuation of personnel. GDZS units rescued 1 supposedly injured boiler room worker and handed him over to emergency personnel— said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea.

Fire-tactical exercises are conducted regularly to test the readiness of the administration for incidents at a production facility, to develop skills in managing combat operations during firefighting, as well as to train personnel of fire departments.

In total, 58 personnel of the emergency department and 12 pieces of equipment took part in the exercises.
