Crimean football clubs have sent the necessary documents for licensing in order to get the right to play in the Football National League (FNL). About it informed Head of the Crimean Football Union Sergey Borodkin.

Our clubs have submitted documents to the Football National League, the licensing process is underway. Our documents for all eight clubs have been accepted for licensing in the FNL as a whole, that is, in the First or Second League. I believe that our teams will not be lost in the First League either.Borodkin said.

According to him, there is no clarity on the timing of licensing.

It is impossible to say in terms of licensing, there are several factors. It is difficult to say by the next visit of the leadership of the FNL, we are waiting for official documents on arrival. Are Crimean clubs ready to play in the FNL next year? This is another question, there are a lot of points that need to be resolved. As for the readiness of clubs to participate, all our clubs are ready and correspond, among other things, to the level of the First League— added the head of the Crimean Football Union.

Dreams Dreams… The FNL is not going to make any exceptions for teams from Crimea. The dominant one is the sports principle. That is, it will be necessary to start a “new life” in Russian football from the very bottom, that is, from the Second League.

The working group has done a lot of work on the integration of the Crimean clubs. This work continues, we have received documents from the Crimean clubs. Next, the clubs will be waiting for the licensing procedure— reported in the press service of the FNL. — Crimean clubs cannot get into the First League without playing in the Second. So, most likely, the football teams of Sevastopol and Crimea will be able to participate in professional sports competitions held by the FNL, starting from the 2023/24 season. That is, this summer.
