Crimean for drunk riding a moped … will go to a colony

The Pervomaisky District Court issued a severe conviction in a criminal case against a previously convicted local resident. The Crimean was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving another motor vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication, having a criminal record for committing a crime in a state of intoxication under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
During the trial, it was established that the man was driving on a Viper moped while intoxicated and was stopped by a traffic police inspector on the Simferopol-Krasnoperekopsk highway. The examination carried out confirmed the state of intoxication of the man. Previously, he was convicted of a similar crime, but he did not draw the proper conclusions for himself, he did not take the path of correction— told the details in the prosecutor’s office.
The court, taking into account the previous conviction and the position of the public prosecutor, appointed the man a final sentence of 1 year and 3 months in prison with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving all types of vehicles for a period of 4 years. The Viper moped belonging to the attacker was confiscated for the state. He will serve his sentence in a strict regime penal colony. The verdict did not enter into force.
