Employees of the department for drug control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» received operational information that a 62-year-old resident of the district can store drugs. As a result of an authorized inspection of the household, police officers, in one of the outbuildings, found a plastic bag with a dried plant substance with a specific smell and a dried hemp bush. The owner of the household gave a confession and explained that he kept the drugs «for personal use.»
According to the results of the examination, it was established that the seized substance is a narcotic drug of the cannabis genus. The total weight of the seized amounted to more than 600 grams. The investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of plants containing narcotic drugs), an investigation was launched. A resident of the Saki district is under house arrest— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
By the way, the sanction of the article (on the topic “I grew it for myself”) provides for a punishment of 3 to 10 years in prison.
