Crimean hospitals, sanatoriums and colleges of the Crimean Ministry of Health joined the All-Russian campaign #mneneviolet

On this day, in the cities participating in the #ISNOTViolet campaign, buildings and structures are illuminated purple as a sign of solidarity with families with premature babies. According to the organizers, the color purple symbolizes hope, compassion and openness. The main goal of the action is to change society’s attitude towards premature babies. Institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea also joined the action.noted the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea.

Every year in the Republic of Crimea, about 800 children are born during premature birth, that is, before 37 weeks. This is about 5% of cases in the region’s birth rate structure. Nursing such babies involves a whole range of complex and lengthy activities. Thanks to the timely provision of qualified medical care, children born prematurely subsequently develop on par with their peers.
