Crimean investigators said who will be responsible for the death of a Yalta schoolgirl in the swimming pool

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A resident of Sevastopol will appear in court on charges of providing poor-quality services, as a result of which a schoolgirl from Yalta died in the pool. According to the Sledkom, the investigation into the criminal case against the 51-year-old Sevastopol resident has been completed. He is accused of providing services that do not meet the safety and health requirements, resulting in the death of a minor through negligence (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Crimean investigators have established for sure that the man entered into a summer lease agreement for a swimming pool in a residential complex on Zagorodnaya Street to provide the population with a service to visit it. At the same time, the accused did not provide safe recreational conditions for citizens, the presence of lifeguard instructors on the territory of the pool, or equipment for providing medical care.

On July 11, for 600 rubles, a businessman allowed a 10-year-old resident of this house into the territory in the absence of her parents and other accompanying adults, without creating safe conditions for her. The girl jumped from the side into an adult pool with a depth of almost 2 meters, exceeding her own height, plunged under the water and was unable to get out on her own.— said the Investigative Committee.

Investigators and forensic investigators at the scene of the tragedy organized urgent measures to establish all the circumstances, carried out the necessary investigative actions and examinations, and collected a sufficient evidence base.

The investigation has now been completed. The criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
